Season overview

A surviving fragment of Sosai X mutates into Sosai Z and recruits megalomaniac Count Egobossler to create an army in order to conquer the world. To combat this new and dangerous threat, the Science Ninja Team Gatchaman once again return to action equipped with newer weapons and a brand new ship known as the Gatchaspartan. However, the introduction of these new weapons comes with a heavy and mysterious price. Specifically, the more Ken the Eagle uses his weapon, the Gatchafencer, as part of the ultimate weapon system of the Gatchaspartan, the weaker his physical condition becomes as the weapon slowly and mysteriously drains away his life force over the course of the narrative arc.
