Samurai Pizza Cats is an animated television series that premiered in 1990. The program is categorized as animation, comedy, action and adventure, and kids programming. The story is set in a Japanese-inspired village known as Little Tokyo, which is populated by various types of animals. While the village is officially led by an emperor, he has lost his sanity, leading a council to manage the well-being of the town. One council member, Seymour Big Cheese, harbors a secret ambition to seize control of the village. The protagonists of the series operate a pizza fast food restaurant in Little Tokyo. This business serves as a cover for their true occupation. Whenever evil threatens the village, the Pizza Cats are launched toward the danger from a device resembling a gun. The series explores the conflict between the pizza shop employees and the forces attempting to take over the village.
