Saint Seiya Omega is an anime series produced by Toei Animation that serves as a spin-off and sequel to the Saint Seiya franchise. The series was created to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the original work written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. It officially began broadcasting on April 1, 2012. The narrative follows the story of a boy named Kouga, who is raised by Saori Kido. Kouga was saved by Seiya as a child and has since undergone daily training to become a Saint. The plot centers on the revival of Mars, the god of war and guardian of his namesake planet, who was previously sealed away by Seiya. As the threat of Mars looms, Kouga awakens the power of his hidden Cosmo, marking the beginning of a new legend. The series explores the journey of this new Saint as he prepares to face the coming crisis and fulfill his destiny, unaware of the challenges that lie ahead in his path.
