Overview

Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. Produced at Klasky Csupo in Los Angeles, the show premiered on August 11, 1991. The series focuses on a group of toddlers, most prominently Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, twins Phil and Lil DeVille, and Angelica Pickles. Susie is also featured among the characters. The show follows the day-to-day lives of these children, whose common life experiences often become adventures within their own imaginations. While the adults in the series remain largely unaware of these activities, the babies continue to explore and discover their surroundings. The series features voice acting from E. G. Daily, Christine Cavanaugh, Nancy Cartwright, Kath Soucie, and Cheryl Chase. The program ran for nine seasons, concluding on August 1, 2004. Throughout its broadcast history, the series was defined by these real and imaginary adventures, providing the characters with space to navigate their world while the adults remained occupied with their own affairs.
