Overview

Purple River is a television series that premiered on December 21, 2021. Created by Zhu Lao and adapted from his novel of the same name, the show is categorized within the sci-fi, fantasy, action, and war genres. The narrative is set within the Human Empire, where humans, demons, orcs, and eastern tribes are entangled in ongoing conflict. The story follows three heroes from a mysterious clan: the resourceful and cold-blooded Di Lin, the patriotic and loyal soldier Sterling, and the wise rogue Zichuan Xiu. As the Zichuan Clan faces threats from both internal and external enemies, the three brothers work to protect their clan and fight for a common goal. Throughout the series, the characters confront various adversities while attempting to maintain their bond. The brothers display their individual abilities, such as when Zichuan Xiu repels the Demons and hunts down rebels, or when Sterling makes difficult choices regarding his family and his lover. The production features voice performances by Yuanfei Mei, Tu-Te-Ha-Meng, Zhen Zhao, and Mo Yang.
