Overview
Pretty Little Liars is an American teen drama mystery television series created by I. Marlene King. The show, which is based on the novel series written by Sara Shepard, aired on Freeform from June 8, 2010, to June 27, 2017. Over the course of seven seasons, the production spanned 160 episodes. The narrative follows the lives of four girls named Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily. Their social clique falls apart following the disappearance of their friend, Alison. One year after this event, the four friends begin receiving messages from an anonymous individual who uses the alias A. This person threatens to expose the girls' long-hidden secrets, including information they believed only Alison knew. As the friends band together against this anonymous foe, they also investigate the circumstances surrounding their best friend's disappearance. The series features performances by Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, and Shay Mitchell, who portray the central group of friends navigating the suspenseful and tense situations caused by the mysterious blackmailer.
