Practical Magic 1998

Overview

Practical Magic is a 1998 film about two sisters born into a family with magical abilities. Sally and Gillian Owens have largely avoided practicing witchcraft despite their heritage. When Gillian's boyfriend Jimmy Angelov dies under mysterious circumstances, the sisters decide to use magic to bring him back to life. Their resurrection attempt goes wrong when they accidentally transfer an evil spirit into Angelov's body. This supernatural mistake creates dangerous consequences that threaten to destroy their family lineage. As the sisters struggle to correct their error, police officer Gary Hallet begins investigating the unusual events surrounding Angelov's death and return. The film follows the Owens sisters as they navigate the complications of their magical mishap while trying to protect themselves and their family from the malevolent forces they have unleashed.
