Plus belle la vie is a French television soap opera that was on the air from 30 August 2004 until 18 November 2022. The series was shown on France 3 from Monday to Friday. It was created based on an idea by Hubert Besson and characters created by Georges Desmouceaux, Bénédicte Achard, Magaly Richard-Serrano, and Olivier Szulzynger. The show is set in the imaginary neighborhood of le Mistral in the Mediterranean port city of Marseille. The daily lives of the inhabitants of le Mistral are portrayed, where wealthy families cross paths with less wealthy ones. The series starred Laurent Kérusoré, Michel Cordes, Sylvie Flepp, and Anne Décis, among others. The show was directed by several individuals, including Roger Wielgus and Philippe Dajoux. Plus belle la vie was a long-running soap opera that aired for many years, providing a glimpse into the lives of the people living in le Mistral.
