Overview
Peace Maker Kurogane is a television series that originally aired from 2003 to 2004. Directed by Tomohiro Hirata, the show features a voice cast that includes Mitsuki Saiga, Yumiko Kobayashi, and Jouji Nakata. The narrative centers on fifteen-year-old Tetsunosuke Ichimura, a young man driven by a desire for revenge following the murder of his parents. Haunted by this tragedy, Tetsu seeks to join the Shinsengumi, an elite group of swordsmen tasked with protecting the capital. The Shinsengumi are currently involved in a violent conflict with the Choshu rebels, who are identified as the individuals responsible for the death of Tetsu's parents. Although Tetsu is determined to join the organization, his older brother opposes the decision. The story follows Tetsu as he attempts to navigate this path of justice, eventually encountering a late-night incident that forces him to confront the reality of the Shinsengumi and the true nature of the group he wishes to join.
