Overview

Parks and Recreation, also known as Parks and Rec, is an American political satire mockumentary television sitcom created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur. The series aired on NBC for 125 episodes over seven seasons, beginning on April 9, 2009, and concluding on February 24, 2015. The program follows the absurd antics of public officials in the town of Pawnee, Indiana, as they pursue various projects to improve their city. The narrative centers on Leslie Knope, a mid-level bureaucrat working in the Parks and Recreation Department.
