Synopsis
Still stressed over Kate's death, Gibbs is even more hurt when Ari kidnaps Ducky and decides to play with his mind. Gibbs sends Tony to follow Ziva, and after Jenny and Gibbs are almost shot to death, he is even more determined to finish once and for all with Ari, and Ziva's strange connection to Ari will be just the help that he needs.

In the second episode of the third season of NCIS, titled Kill Ari (2), the team continues to deal with the aftermath of the death of Kate. Gibbs remains under significant stress during this period. The situation escalates when Ari kidnaps Ducky, choosing to engage in psychological games with him.
As the investigation unfolds, Gibbs directs Tony to conduct surveillance on Ziva. The tension intensifies when Gibbs and Jenny narrowly escape being shot to death. Following this attempt on their lives, Gibbs becomes increasingly resolute in his mission to bring a final conclusion to his conflict with Ari. Throughout the process, the team discovers that Ziva possesses a strange connection to Ari. Gibbs determines that this specific connection will serve as the necessary assistance he requires to resolve the situation once and for all.
