In the television series NCIS, the episode titled After Hours features the NCIS agents as their personal plans are interrupted. The interruption occurs when each of the agents catches errors in a seemingly cut-and-dried case.

The television series follows a team of special agents handling cases ranging from murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines. The series originally launched as two back-door pilot episodes of an existing show, JAG, which aired in April 2003, before the mothership series began its run. The main cast features characters such as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Tony DiNozzo, Caitlin Todd, and Abby, along with recurring and regular cast members appearing across various seasons of the long-running crime, drama, and action and adventure program.
