Overview

The television series "My-Otome" is set in the distant future on the planet Earl, which was colonized by immigrants from Earth centuries ago. The planet's inhabitants have retained "old technology" in the form of nanomachines, which enable a specific group of individuals to wield Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment (HiME). These individuals, known as Meister Otomes, serve as bodyguards and warriors to the royalty of various kingdoms. The series takes place in the Windbloom Kingdom, where a young protagonist arrives in search of her mother. The protagonist meets the top student at the Coral Otome academy, as well as the heir to the throne, and begins to progress as a student. The series follows the protagonist's journey as she develops her skills and navigates her new surroundings.
