S1·E3 A Friend

In the third episode of the first season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, titled A Friend, the protagonist Rudy begins to explore the village where he resides. During his time out in the village, he encounters a group of bullies who are targeting a green-haired child. Rudy intervenes in the situation and successfully rescues the child from the group. Following this event, Rudy and the green-haired child begin to spend time together, growing closer as they practice magic. As their friendship develops, the episode raises questions regarding the true nature of Rudy’s new companion, suggesting there may be more to the child than Rudy initially realizes. The series, which is produced by Studio Bind and based on the light novel series created by Rifujin na Magonote, follows the story of a 34-year-old underachiever who is reincarnated into a new world as an infant after being run over by a truck. This episode continues the narrative of his life in this new world as he navigates his surroundings and forms new connections.
