The episode titled Chirp follows the lives of three diverse but interrelated family set-ups living in suburban Los Angeles as part of the television series Modern Family. In this episode, Claire and Haley spend some quality girl time together while they are stuck at home sick. Meanwhile, Phil is preoccupied by the taunts of a chirping smoke detector. Elsewhere, Gloria and Manny pay a surprise visit to Jay at his work, which leads to headaches for Jay. Finally, Cameron gets swept up by all the lights and cameras when he goes behind Mitchell's back and takes Lily for a commercial. The series itself follows the extended Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan, representing one big, happy, and multi-cultural family set-up in suburban Los Angeles. The show was created by writers Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan.
