Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096 is a 2016 television series that serves as a re-edited version of an original seven-episode OVA series. The story is set in the year U.C. 0096, three years following the rebellion led by Char. The narrative centers on Banagher Links, a boy residing at the Industrial 7 manufacturing colony. His life changes when he encounters a mysterious girl named Audrey Burne. Audrey reveals her intention to prevent the Vist Foundation from transferring an object known as Laplace's Box to the Neo Zeon remnants, a group identified as the Sleeves. She warns that this transaction could trigger another war, prompting Banagher to assist her. The situation escalates when the colony transforms into a battlefield as conflict erupts between the Sleeves and the Earth Federation Forces. The Earth Federation Forces have arrived at the colony with the specific goal of stopping the handover of the box, placing them in direct opposition to the Sleeves while Banagher and Audrey become caught in the middle of the escalating military struggle.
