Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is a 2025 American action spy film directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. The film is a direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and the eighth entry in the Mission: Impossible film series. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, alongside Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg. In the film, Hunt and his IMF team pursue a dangerous artificial intelligence known as the Entity, which has compromised intelligence networks worldwide. As global governments close in, along with a mysterious figure from Hunt’s past, he must race against time to stop the Entity from irrevocably altering the world. New allies join the team in their mission, providing the means to potentially shut down the AI threat for good.
