Overview

Mexican Dream is a documentary film released in the year 2023. The film runs for one hour and thirty-two minutes and was released in Mexico on October 31, 2023. The documentary follows the life of Malena, who previously had her tubes tied after enduring an abusive relationship and fled to Mexico City to seek a better life. Despite a fierce fight, her ex-spouse took custody of her children. In the present, Malena has a new partner and is working to finish building a house where she dreams of living with her three children alongside a new baby. Because she is older and wiser, she requires an IVF treatment in order to have a second chance at expanding her family. To achieve her goals, Malena decides to leave her job as a domestic worker and return home to establish a business, hoping to create the family she has always dreamt of having. However, she faces emotional and relational hurdles as her children feel abandoned and punish her, while her partner threatens to leave her.
