Leo, an orphaned mute girl who can't fit in, escapes from the shelter where she lives in order to go to a fishing competition that reminds her of her parents. On the way, Lou, a non-conformist with no job or benefit, finds her hitchhiking and, without knowing Leo's real purpose, agrees to take her in his car, thinking he is taking her back home.
