Overview
Leave It to Beaver is a 1997 American comedy film directed by Andy Cadiff, based on the 1957 to 1963 television series of the same name. The film features many original regular characters and adapts in-jokes and sub-plots relating to the series. The story centers on the Cleavers, an all-American family living in Ohio, which includes wise father Ward, loving mother June, teenage son Wally, and eight-year-old Theodore, better known as Beaver. Beaver hopes to receive a bicycle as a gift from his father and, in an effort to please him, tries out for his school football team. He makes the team, but only ends up being embarrassed, and the bicycle he eventually receives is quickly stolen. Meanwhile, Wally attempts to help his friend Eddie Haskell win the heart of a pretty classmate named Karen. However, Karen appears to favor Wally instead, which creates tensions between the two friends.
