It is loosely based on the Pakistani classical television drama Dhoop Kinare. In addition to its broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television India, the program also airs on Sony Entertainment Television Asia. Kuch Toh Log Kahenge eventually ended its run on March 28, 2013. The conclusion of the series was brought about by low ratings as well as the decision of the lead actress, Kritika Kamra, to quit the show.
