The television series "Kodocha" revolves around the life of Sana Kurata, a fifth-grade student who is also a star of the hit TV comedy "Child's Toy". Her mother is a famous and award-winning writer. Sana's life is disrupted by Akito Hayama, a classmate who has organized the boys in her grade-school class into a chaotic group. Sana, with the help of Rei, her manager and chauffeur, sets out to regain control of the classroom from Akito. As Sana becomes more involved in Akito's life, she begins to see him in a different light. The series explores Sana's interactions with Akito and the impact he has on her life.
