Kimagure Orange Road is a Japanese television series that first aired in 1987. The production was a collaborative effort between Toho and Studio Pierrot. The series is an adaptation of a manga written and illustrated by Izumi Matsumoto, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1987 and collected into 18 volumes by Shueisha. The story follows Kyosuke Kasuga, a student who faces the challenges of moving to a new school while concealing supernatural powers from the rest of the world. His life becomes complicated by a romantic triangle involving his classmate, Madoka Ayukawa, and her best friend, Hikaru Hiyama, whom Kyosuke unintentionally begins dating.
