Overview

Kageki Shojo!! is an anime television series that premiered in 2021. The show follows the lives of students training at an all-female opera school to become performers for the historic Red Flower Opera Company, also known as the Kouka Acting Troupe. The story centers on two new students, Sarasa Watanabe and Ai. Sarasa is a starry-eyed, five-foot-ten-inch student who aspires to perform as a male lead, while her roommate, Ai, is a former idol. As they navigate their training, the two form a friendship while facing various hopes and conflicts. The series was created by Kumiko Saiki and directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda, with animation produced by Pine Jam. Tadashi Morishita handled the series composition, and Takahiro Kishida was responsible for character design. The voice cast includes Sayaka Senbongi, Yumiri Hanamori, Sumire Uesaka, and You Taichi. The adaptation was announced in the December issue of Melody magazine on October 28, 2020. Together, the protagonists embark on a journey toward what is described as the role of a lifetime.
