Overview

Iron Angels is a 1987 action, thriller, crime, and adventure film directed by Kai-Ming Lai, Pun-Hei Leung, Siu-Hung Leung, and Teresa Woo. The film features a cast including Hideki Saijo, Alex Fong, Moon Lee, Elaine Lui, Yukari Oshima, David Chiang, and John Ke. The plot follows a private crimefighting organization hired by the police commissioner to dismantle a dangerous drug-smuggling ring led by a ruthless female martial artist named Yeung. The conflict escalates when a law enforcement task force destroys Yeung’s poppy fields, prompting her to order the assassination of police officials in retaliation. The Angels infiltrate Yeung’s corporate offices to locate her headquarters. When the character played by Alex Fong is captured and held by Yeung, the group initiates a rescue mission. A complex subplot involving an armored car bullion robbery eventually leads the Angels to a final showdown against Yeung and her men. The film has a runtime of approximately one hour and thirty-three minutes and was released in Hong Kong on March 10, 1987.
