Overview
I Hate Kids is a 2019 American adventure comedy film directed by John Asher. The movie was written by Frank Dietz and Todd Traina and stars Tom Everett Scott and Tituss Burgess. The story follows Nick Pearson, a life-long bachelor who is preparing to settle down and get married. His plans are interrupted when a 13-year-old boy named Mason arrives, claiming to be his son. The boy located Nick with the assistance of a psychic, and DNA tests confirm the biological connection. Because Nick dislikes children and wants to return the boy to his biological mother, he faces a significant complication as no one knows her identity. Consequently, Nick embarks on a road trip with the boy and a neurotic, inept psychic. The group travels to track down dozens of Nick’s former flings from fourteen years prior to determine the boy's parentage. This quest results in a series of awkward encounters and mixed outcomes for the trio as they attempt to uncover the truth about the boy's past.
