Home of the Brave 2006

Overview

The film Home of the Brave is a story about a group of soldiers from Spokane. The day after they receive news that they will be returning home, they are ambushed in an Iraqi city. The story then follows four of the soldiers as they return to the United States. One of the soldiers is a surgeon who was deeply affected by his experiences. Another is a teacher who is a single mother and lost a hand in the ambush. An infantry man is also followed, who is struggling with the loss of his best friend. Additionally, a soldier who is haunted by the memory of killing a civilian woman is part of the group. The film explores the experiences of these characters as they deal with the aftermath of their time in Iraq. The story delves into the challenges they face as they try to readjust to life back home.
