Highway to Heaven is an American fantasy drama television series that aired on NBC from September 19, 1984, to August 4, 1989. The series was created by Michael Landon, who also served as a co-director and starred in the lead role. The plot centers on a probationary angel sent back to Earth to assist individuals in need. Upon his arrival, the angel, named Jonathan Smith, teams up with his human partner and friend, Mark Gordon, who is an ex-cop. Together, the pair travels to help people throughout the duration of the series. In addition to Michael Landon and Victor French, the cast included actors such as James Troesh and Margie Impert.
