Overview

Heads and Tails is a Ukrainian travel reality television series that premiered on February 13, 2011. The program follows two co-hosts as they visit a different international location for one weekend in each episode. The central premise of the show involves a coin toss to determine the financial circumstances of each host for the duration of the trip. One host receives a Golden Card, which provides access to a credit card with unlimited credit, though in practice this is limited to 30,000 US dollars per day. The other host must spend the entire weekend with a budget of 100 US dollars, covering all necessary expenses. Starting with the second season, the production team began hiding a bottle containing 100 US dollars in each visited location for travelers to find. The series is also known by its original titles in Ukrainian and Russian, Orel i Reshka. The show continued production through 2022, documenting the hosts as they explored various destinations around the world under these contrasting financial conditions.
