Overview

Gundam Wing: The Endless Waltz is a 1998 animated science fiction drama film directed by Yasunao Aoki and Nana Harada. Set in the year After Colony 196, the story takes place one year after the conclusion of the battles between the Earth Sphere and the space colonies. As peace spreads throughout the region, the Gundam pilots attempt to rebuild their lives and dispose of their weapons of war by sending their Gundams into the sun. However, the pilots are forced back into action when Relena Darlian, a high-ranking government official, is kidnapped by a colony faction seeking total dominance. This conflict forces the pilots to engage in a final battle to break the recurring cycles of war and peace. The film features voice performances from Ryuzo Ishino, Takehito Koyasu, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Shigeru Nakahara. With a runtime of one hour and thirty minutes, the narrative explores the aftermath of the earlier Eve Wars, which concluded on December 24 of the year After Colony 195.
