Overview
Fruits Basket is a television series centered on the life of a sixteen-year-old orphaned girl named Tohru Honda. Following a series of events, Tohru is invited to reside in the home of her classmate, Yuki Sohma, along with his cousins, Kyo and Shigure. As Tohru settles into her new living situation, she discovers that the Sohma family members are bound by a unique and challenging curse. When members of the family are embraced by someone of the opposite gender, they undergo a physical transformation into animals associated with the Chinese Zodiac. The series follows Tohru as she navigates her daily life while interacting with the various close and distant relatives of the Sohma family. As she becomes better acquainted with Yuki, Kyo, and the rest of the household, Tohru experiences both common and bizarre situations.
