Final Feliz is a Brazilian television series produced and broadcast by TV Globo. The show aired as part of the network's "novela das sete" lineup, replacing "Elas por Elas" and preceding "Guerra dos Sexos." The series consists of 161 episodes and was broadcast from late 1982 through mid-1983. The plot centers on César, a sugar mill owner living in Rio de Janeiro with his wife Maria Luiza and their two daughters, Débora and Suzy. Disenchanted with his life, César stages his own death with the assistance of França, the financial director of the mill, which is also owned by Alaor. After orchestrating a car accident off Avenida Niemeyer, César disappears, leaving Alaor on the brink of bankruptcy and his family in poverty. The series explores the consequences of César’s actions on those around him as they adjust to their new circumstances.
