In the eleventh episode of the eighteenth season of Family Guy, titled Short Cuts, Brian Griffin finds himself in the spotlight after accidentally becoming a local hero. This former associate, who has since achieved success as a millionaire dog, contacts Brian with a specific agenda. He attempts to persuade Brian to undergo the procedure of being neutered.

While Brian navigates this interaction, a separate conflict develops within the Griffin household involving Peter and Lois. The tension begins when Lois decides to change her appearance by getting a pixie cut. Peter expresses his disapproval of the new hairstyle, leading to a domestic dispute. In response to Lois getting the haircut against his wishes, Peter chooses to retaliate. He initiates a campaign to out-embarrass her, escalating the situation between the couple as they engage in a series of retaliatory actions.
