Overview

ERASED is a Japanese television series that aired in 2016. The show follows Satoru Fujinuma, a struggling manga artist who possesses the supernatural ability to turn back time in order to prevent deaths from occurring. When Fujinuma's mother is murdered, he uses his time-traveling capability to investigate her killing and solve the mystery surrounding her death. However, his attempt to change the past results in him being transported back to his childhood, specifically to the time when he was in elementary school. During this earlier period, he finds himself positioned just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo, a girl who went missing during their school years. The series explores Fujinuma's efforts to navigate his altered timeline while attempting to prevent both his mother's murder and the tragic disappearance of his young classmate. Through his unique ability, he seeks to correct past wrongs and protect those he cares about from harm.
