Overview

Die Hard 2 is a 1990 action film featuring John McClane, an off-duty police officer who becomes involved in another dangerous situation while simply waiting at an airport. The story takes place on a snowy Christmas Eve at Washington Dulles International Airport, where McClane is awaiting his wife's arrival. Terrorists seize control of the air traffic control system as part of a plot to free a South American army general and drug smuggler who is being transported to the United States to face drug charges. McClane must confront the terrorists while dealing with an incompetent airport police chief and an uncooperative anti-terrorist squad. The situation becomes more urgent as McClane works to protect the lives of his wife and other passengers trapped at the airport during the terrorist takeover. The film shows McClane once again in the position of being the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time, forced to take action when official authorities prove inadequate to handle the crisis.
