"De Mol" is a reality television game show originally conceived by a group of individuals. The show was created in 1999 by Woestijnvis, a production company. It was licensed in 40 countries worldwide and won the Rose d'Or award in Montreux, Switzerland, in 2000. The show premiered on a television channel that is now known as VRT 1, and it aired on this channel for a certain period of time. Later, it was revived and moved to a different television channel, which is now known as PLAY. The original run of the show ended in 2003, but it was revived again in 2016 and moved to the channel that is now known as PLAY.
