DARLING in the FRANXX 2018

Overview

DARLING in the FRANXX is a 2018 television series set in a distant future where humanity resides within a mobile fort city known as Plantation. This city is situated upon a ruined wasteland and contains pilot quarters called Mistilteinn, which is also referred to as the Birdcage. Within this environment, children live with the singular mission of fighting mysterious giant organisms known as Kyoryu. To engage these unseen enemies, the children operate giant robots called FRANXX. The narrative centers on a boy identified as Code number 016, named Hiro, who was previously considered a child prodigy. His life changes following the arrival of a mysterious girl named Zero Two. Upon meeting Hiro, she addresses him as her darling. The term darling is often used as a term of endearment for a sweetheart or a child. The series follows these characters as they navigate their existence within the Birdcage while confronting the threats posed by the Kyoryu.
