Overview

Cutting It is a television series that centers on the professional and personal lives of partners Allie Henshall and Gavin Ferraday. The couple operates a hair salon called Henshall Ferraday, where Allie’s sisters, Darcey and Sydney, are also employed. The stability of their business and relationship is challenged when they consider expanding into a vacant property across the street. Their plans are disrupted upon learning that a rival business has acquired the location. The new salon, named Blade Runner, is owned and managed by Finn and his wife, Mia Bevan. The situation becomes complicated for Allie because Finn is her former partner. It is revealed that Finn is the father of a child that Allie previously claimed to have aborted. After leaving Allie upon learning of her pregnancy, Finn has returned to town with the intention of attempting to reconcile with her. The narrative explores the tension between the two competing salons and the personal history that connects the owners of the rival businesses.
