In the episode, a bellboy is found murdered at one of Miami's hottest hotels. The investigation by the CSIs leads to the discovery of a complex counterfeiting operation. The team's inquiry into the murder is further complicated by the fact that it is cruise season in Miami, resulting in a large influx of people in the area and a corresponding increase in potential suspects.

The CSIs' investigation into the counterfeiting operation is facilitated by the discovery of luggage that the deceased bellboy had been loading, as well as a heist of special paper used in the production of money. The team's efforts to uncover the truth behind the counterfeiting operation and the bellboy's murder are ongoing.

In a separate case, Calleigh is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a woman who attended a "friction" party with her husband. The woman is later found dead, and Calleigh must work to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. The investigation into the woman's death is a separate thread from the main case involving the counterfeiting operation and the bellboy's murder.
