Synopsis
Florrie joins Martha in gossiping about Christine and Frank but for once Ena isn't interested. Elsie and Christine return exhausted from the January sales. Elsie suggests going out that night but Christine already has a date with Frank. After learning how to make the dish at school, Lucille makes a curry for a reluctant Harry. Florrie refuses to serve Christine a loaf when she calls into the Corner Shop and Val gives her the cold shoulder. Lucille is upset when Harry shows little enthusiasm over the meal.

Florrie joins Martha in gossiping about Christine and Frank, though for once Ena is not interested in the talk. Elsie and Christine return exhausted from shopping at the January sales. Elsie suggests that they go out for the evening, but Christine explains that she already has a date with Frank. Later, when Christine calls into the Corner Shop, Florrie refuses to serve her a loaf of bread, and Val gives her the cold shoulder. Meanwhile, Lucille makes a curry for Harry after learning how to make the dish at school. Lucille becomes upset when Harry shows a reluctant attitude and little enthusiasm over the meal.
