In this episode of Coronation Street, Jack travels to Barnsley to take care of his dying eighty-seven year old mother. Meanwhile, Ena receives a medical diagnosis following her fall, with doctors determining that she has suffered a mild stroke and hit her head, resulting in a concussion. Martha and Minnie decide to pay a visit to Ena, but during the encounter, Ena does not seem to recognize them. Elsewhere on the street, Len installs a fireplace for Elsie, an action that quickly succeeds in setting the local tongues wagging among the residents. The series itself follows ordinary, working-class people through their regular social and family interactions at home in the fictional town of Weatherfield.
