Episode recap

The episode of Coronation Street broadcast on Monday, March 5, 1962, follows ordinary, working-class residents in the fictional town of Weatherfield as they navigate everyday social interactions. In this episode, Mr. Baxter thoroughly enjoyed himself at the party, though Ena remains annoyed by the events. Meanwhile, Dennis sets to work organising a charity performance specifically for the Over 60s Club.

However, complications quickly arise regarding the venue and permissions. Ena strictly refuses to allow the planned concert to be held in the Mission. Despite her strong objections, the committee officially grants their permission for the concert to go ahead. Even with the committee's approval, Ena issues a stern warning, cautioning them that the entire endeavor will ultimately end in disaster.

Elsewhere in the community, Elsie is preoccupied and completely forgets her own birthday. This installment continues the long-running British television soap opera broadcast on ITV, which focuses on the regular social and family interactions of ordinary working-class people living on the street.
