Synopsis
The doctor tells Ena she's got senile decay. Florrie is in the paper after being fined £1 in court. Ena throws Martha out of the Mission. May tries to summon help over her headaches but dies in the hallway. The hospital give Christine, May's wedding ring. Dennis gets a job front of house at a club where he sees his father.

In this episode of Coronation Street, broadcast on Friday, December 30, 1960, medical news arrives for Ena when the doctor informs her that she has senile decay. Elsewhere, Florrie receives public attention after being featured in the newspaper following a fine of one pound in court. Tensions also arise at the Mission, where Ena forces Martha out.
Meanwhile, May suffers from headaches and attempts to summon help, but she ultimately dies in the hallway. Following this tragedy, the hospital hands May's wedding ring over to Christine. In another storyline, Dennis secures a new job working front of house at a club, during which he catches sight of his father.
