Chronicle is a British television programme and BBC Television series that focused on popular archaeology and related subjects. The series was broadcast monthly and then fortnightly on BBC Two starting on 18 June 1966 until its last broadcast in May 1991. Chronicle was considered an influential programme and a landmark in early television presentation.
Among the best remembered episodes of the series were The Lost Treasure of Jerusalem...?, The Priest, the Painter and The Devil, and The Shadow of The Templars. These particular episodes were presented by Henry Lincoln, who later went on to write Holy Blood Holy Grail with Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh. Additionally, the BBC have made some editions of Chronicle available online.
