Synopsis
Remains of a chicken farmer are found on the bank of a nearby river, and Booth and Brennan are called in to investigate. The farmer, who was an animal rights activist, was about to inherit a chicken factory and had many enemies with motive to kill him – leaving the team with a lot of murder suspects to sort through.

In the sixth episode of the fifth season of Bones, titled The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken, the remains of a chicken farmer are discovered on the bank of a nearby river. FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth and forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan are called in to investigate the crime. The victim was an animal rights activist who was on the verge of inheriting a chicken factory. Because of this upcoming inheritance and his activism, the farmer had accumulated many enemies who possessed a clear motive to kill him. This left the investigative team with a wide variety of murder suspects to sort through as they worked to solve the case. The series, created by Hart Hanson, follows the professional partnership between Brennan and Booth, along with her colleagues at the Jeffersonian medico-legal lab, as they investigate crimes where victims are reduced to scant evidence and bones.
