Synopsis

In the second episode of the second season of Bones, titled Mother and Child in the Bay, the remains of a young pregnant woman and a fetus are discovered in the Delaware Bay. The victims are identified as a newlywed who had disappeared a year earlier. As the investigation gets underway, it is initially aimed toward the husband. However, the case ultimately takes a surprising turn. Alongside the criminal investigation, personal tensions arise as Booth becomes upset when his ex-girlfriend allows their son to spend time with her new boyfriend. The series, an American police procedural drama created by Hart Hanson for Fox, follows forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, also known as Bones, and her colleagues at the Jeffersonian's Medico-Legal Lab as they assist with criminal investigations. Brennan teams up with an FBI agent to investigate crimes that have left scant evidence behind, specifically cases involving bones.
