Overview
Bleach is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga series created by Tite Kubo. Produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Noriyuki Abe, the program follows the life of a high school student named Ichigo Kurosaki. For as long as he can remember, Ichigo has possessed the ability to see ghosts. His life changes forever after he meets Rukia, a Soul Reaper tasked with battling evil spirits known as Hollows. Following this encounter, Ichigo gains a newfound wealth of spiritual energy and discovers his true calling to protect both the living and the dead from evil. The original television series aired from 2004 to 2012. The series features voice performances from actors including Johnny Yong Bosch, Michelle Ruff, Stephanie Sheh, and Jamieson Price. The franchise has continued to expand, with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc serving as a later addition to the saga. Viewers can currently access the show through various streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+.
