Overview
Behind the Line: Escape to Dunkirk is a 2020 war film directed by Ben Mole with a runtime of one hour and twenty-seven minutes. The story is set in occupied France in 1940 during World War II, following a group of British soldiers retreating from the Germans toward Dunkirk who are ultimately captured. Among the prisoners is a renowned champion boxer named Danny. A Nazi commander discovers Danny's background and forces him to fight for the entertainment of the company. Additionally, a renowned British boxer among the prisoners is forced into the ring to fight an equally talented German. The prisoners eventually realize they can use these boxing contests as cover for an audacious breakout before they are sent to Germany, where escape would be nearly impossible. Ultimately, their fate and freedom may depend on how long Danny can keep fighting in the ring.
