Season two of the American dark comedy thriller follows new parents Ava and Nathan Bartlett three months into their journey of parenthood. Ava, a real estate agent, attempts to resist her true crime obsession and return to her professional life. Meanwhile, Nathan focuses on training private tennis clients and working to reignite his tennis career. While life appears stable for a time, with Ava finding distraction through her TikTok habit and a new friend named Drew, and Nathan maintaining his friendship with Matt, a series of new murders occurs. These killings pull Ava back into the world of true crime. The narrative raises questions regarding whether Matt is responsible for the slayings and if Tory, who is now in a relationship with Matt, is in danger. Despite periods where life feels good, the season suggests that danger is approaching the family. The series, created by Craig Rosenberg and starring Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, and Tom Bateman, continues to explore themes of true crime obsession through the intersecting lives of its central characters.
