Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger is a television series that aired from February 16, 2003, to February 8, 2004. Classified under the genres of science fiction, fantasy, action, adventure, comedy, and tokusatsu, the program consists of 50 episodes, each with a runtime of 25 minutes. The series was broadcast on the TV Asahi network. Also known as Burstosaur Squadron Abaranger, the premise centers on the aftermath of a meteorite that struck Earth long ago. This event created two parallel universes: Another Earth and Dino Earth. In the latter, dinosaurs evolved into two distinct groups, the humanoid Saurians and the mechanized Bakuryu. When the wall between these universes is breached, a group known as the Evolians, who have been at war with the inhabitants of Dino Earth, invade. It becomes the responsibility of the Abarangers to protect the world from this threat. The opening theme song for the series is performed by Endoh Masaaki.
